Experimental Investigation on the Influence of Water Injection Timing on the Deformation of Loose Rock Blocks

This study investigated the influence of water injection timing on compression deformation loose rock blocks in goaf. The used a confined gradient loading test to examine under initial saturation and later immersion conditions. results showed that saturation, each whole stage was greater than stage. Additionally, different stages saturated state relatively regular, while state, changed abruptly after immersion. To explain mechanism blocks, mesostructure granulated contact particles studied. found weakens effective stress strength between skeleton particles, leading sliding as dominant mode. provides theoretical basis for understanding characteristics goaf environments.
